Guys and Gals-
Looking to gather info on people that have FAILED NYS inspection this year, 2014. I have been hearing through other forums and Facebook groups that people have been failing the OBD/Emssions check due to "no communication" with the new inspection machine. The new inspection machine is similar to the old one, though the program used was made by a different company. All the same things are checked, nothing new has been added. The new machines rolled out Jan 1st this year. Supposedly, the vehicles that have failed are able to communicate with handheld OBD2 scan tools as well as other flash devices. They all have been re-flashed with "performance" calibrations and have passed prior years in the same configuration.
All have been tuned with SCT that I know of this far.
Just looking to gather data to try and pinpoint the common denominator, so we can figure out what is needed to keep us on the road!
