There was a major update in the NYM Status system. You may now 'Subscribe' to status' to receive notifications when someone else replies to them and likes are also displayed differently.

Comenting on a Status
To comment on a status or view who has liked a status, click on these icons:
After you click these icons the corresponding comments and likes will appear below.
Liking a Status or Status Comment
To 'Like' a status or status comment, simply click the 'Like' link next to the status or comment.
After liking the status, the likes will appear below (This will not happen when liking a status comment):
You may 'Unlike' anything you like at any time.
Subscribing to a Status
You may 'Subscribe' to a status to receive notifications in your notification menu and e-mail notifications whenever another user responds to that particular status. To do so, simply click the 'Subscribe' link. You may click the 'Unsubscribe' link at any time to unsubscribe. There will also always be a link in the e-mail to 'Unsubscribe' from that particular status.
