ok i was planning on changing my gears because i thought the gears i had on my car were stock.... so time has come for me to get the gears i texted the guy i got the car from he told me i have 4.10s done by mustang magic .........
i dont really understand the low end top end stuff if someone can explain the situation to me id greatly appreciate it.....
i was planning on getting 3.73s.... but i dont know if 4.10s is better.....or if i will think my car will be slower if i go from 4.10s to 3.73s
i use my car as a daily driver, and i do occasionally want to break some necks on the road from stop lights and on the hwy....
since im not as knowledgeable as most of you i dont know what to do, i tried to call real speed to have them explain it but they didnt answer....
also im wondering if the 4.10s could have put unnecessary wear and tear on my car....
some facts of my 4.10 gears i have now
-1st gear sucks... from a stop light im a dam slug.... i have to automatically basically shift into second then basically shift into third
-5th gear going 65 is 2500 rpms
and when im in 5th gear going 120 or 130 im at 5500 or 5000 rpms
-4th gear is great but once i really start moving like 70 is 4200ish rpms and i try to keep my rpms at 3k or below always
how am i supposed to go 150 without blowing my engine im soooo confused i want to be a beast on the road
and if 4.10s are track gears why cant i go 150 easy?
will 3.73s help me from a dead stop if not going to be able to go 150... with 4.10s or with 3.73s....or going from 4.10 to 3.73 will i think my car is slower?>
when im on the highway and people try to mess around they usually seem like theyll get me but once i get up on it i prevail, i kind of just want it to be not a competition from the beginning to the end.. and i know i need a supercharger not a moderately modded gt but im trying
and if i change my gears with all the added option will my car shift cleaner and sound a bit cleaner?
