  • Anyone living around the Rochester area know of a reputable mechanic that would install lowering springs/ panhard bar on my 14' GT?

Thanks for the responses... I'll get a few quotes, but perhaps I will just do it myself. YouTube video of the install doesn't look too difficult.

I don't have the parts yet... I am considering just swapping out the factory springs with a mild upgrade, plus the panhard bar. Maybe lower it 1"... I replaced the factory 19" Brembo package wheels with 20" aftermarket wheels, but the tire/fender gap is slightly more than I would like to have.

Thanks... I'll check out your pics... I'm currently running 285/30/20's in the rear, and 255/35/20's up front. I don't want to get too crazy, since the reality is, the roads here suck and I still want to be comfortable. I've done a 4" lift kit installation on my Jeep Wrangler, so I assume the lowering spring install would likely be easier.... I just want the snow to melt. I'm sure we all do!! Thanks again for your insight.
Anyone near upstate NY have a set of factory wheels/tires they would like to sell? They would need to fit the Brembo brake package on a 14' GT.... Thanks
2014 Mustang GT..... On it's way to my driveway... Brembo package, 19's, 3.73's, Deep Impact Blue.... Shopping for an exhaust and other goodies at AmericanMuscle.com.....

It has the 19 inch premium wheels that come with the Brembo brake package. I'll have better pics once I actually get the car. Decided to have the dealer hold it for me until the roads clear a bit. Still a bunch of snow/salt on the roads in my area. I have 20 inch rims that I took off of the 2010 GT. Debating whether to keep them or just sell them. I'll probably add a CAI and a tune in the near future.

I went with the staggered 19inch Chrome 2010 GTprem wheels 8.5+10 255on ft- 295on rear Goodyear f1 asym 2's for more traction, worked out good. I bought a set of Foose 20inch speed wheels -tire package before I bought the 19's they were too heavy and I thought they looks to big on my car, lost $500 on that deal for shipping in and out. My new setup rears weigh the same as the 18inch one I took off 57lbs the 20's I sent back were 65lbs(the concern was hp loss) Almost got the 19inch Boss 302's like ROUSH 4 went with on his 14, but I thought too much Black on my Black car.

Sounds like your ride must be badass!!! Nice job!
Working on a deal for a 14' GT.... Blue, 6 speed, Brembo package, 19's... Just left the dealer to ponder for a bit, and maybe talk some sense into myself........ Hmmmm.....

That's the way to do it if you can. Get some of your money back. Always a buyer out there.

Also, you could put the stuff on your new car. Rims will work, not sure about the exhaust.

I don't believe that the exhaust would fit, but I would be able to transfer the wheels/tires after I burn out the rear Pirelli's the new Stang would come with. Yeeehaaaaw!!!
Thank you, Chevrolet Blazer, for being a broken down hunk of junk and subjecting my Mustang to its first ever snowfall. Damn.....
