  • I just purchased an 06 Mustang V6, any info on adding more horse power would be greatly appreciated. I want as much horsepower as I can get, however I don't want a track car this is a weekend driver.

@onlycodered, Don't I have to change out the throttle body to a 70mm when swapping out to CAI,As opposed to staying with the 65mm stock throttle body ?And I definitely am going with the tune as well just wasn't sure what to do first, again I am fairly new to this thanks for the help.

No TB upgrades are needed, I have the FRPP CAI and tune on my car and it fits perfectly. You can add a TB if you would like but you are only going to gain maybe 2-3 HP. What kind of HP numbers are you trying to get to?

As far as the Pypes shorty headers go you will gain some power and it will even out the tone of the exhaust for you. What ever you do do not get Long Tube headers they sound like shit on our cars!

I'd be careful when swapping TB on the V6, from what I hear avoid the BBK and any other where you reuse the stock solenoid, since the stock one is set for a 65mm bore and the new Tb is larger it can cause issue such as stuck throttle or even kill the solenoid. I know GMS use to make one with a properly calibrated solenoid but maybe someone might know of any others.
