I need a few of these. It says "AMP" on it, no numbers or any other marking. It was used to cover the connection between 2 non insulated single wire spade connections (male to female). It's 1.5 inches long, and when closed maybe .5 inches in diameter; white and plastic (or nylon or similar material).
Anyone know? I've been googling for hours and can't locate it.
Odd that they would use that on a car.
Seem like they would be in an electronic device's wiring, but a car.
Maybe it is something a previous owner did, and not really a factory thing?
If it was factory, then you would be able to find the Ford part number in the shop manual for your year; then search by that.
Thanks. It's not from my Mustang, but from an older Ferrari I'm restoring. I got some more info on it, it's a factory installed part used to prevent vibrations from separating a spade male2female connection, it locks over the connection and also adds some weatherproofing, and was manufactured in the 1970s. Now I'm trying to track down one or two.....
