The silver JPC built GT ran a 8.6@159 !!!! This is the most impressive street car I have seen EVER.

Ya, Jim Trombley. My father is friends with Jody and used to work for him at his body shop for years, back in the early 80's. I have only seen it run 9's myself but you never know. It's impossible to see every pass. I have been going up there to the track since the late 90's. Both those cars have had ALOT of different motor combos.

Small world really. My dad grew up with Jim and Jody. Spent alot of time with both of tham at the track over the years. The garage/body shop where Jodys body shop was, right in the middle of Chazy, was owned by my dad untill he sold it to Jody in 80' or 81'. Two of the nicest guys you could ever talk to.

Haha, that is small around here lol. My father and Jody's brother worked there Donny. My dad actually did some paint work on Jim's car years ago when he was working for Jody. My dad had a blue '78 Trans Am with a 4spd back when Jody's ex wife Lee had her yellow/black T/A. That was along time ago though. One of the few GM's my dad had.

LMAO!! Well my father used to buy wrecked cars and fix them, so whatever he saw that was nice and the right price he bought. He only owned maybe 3 GM cars in his life though. He had some sick vehicles though, 67 Cyclone GT 390 w/4spd convertible (with a 429CJ swapped in), 69 Mach 1 R-code 428cj, 56 Ford truck with a 430 Merc big block swapped in with a standard trans, and the list goes on lol.

Twins I tell ya. Dad did Porsche, Jaguar and Corvettes. Was kicked out of Napierville once and told not to come back. He entered a stock class with a 67' 427/435hp vette with 10" cheater slicks. Looked stock. You should come over this weekend and I can buy you a drink and watch you take my GT apart.
