Ok, I may be nuts but... I recently picked up a real clean 93 LX 2.3 with 100K miles. Lots of miles but super clean. The previous, and original owner kept good maintenance records. What he never changed was the timing belt. After a 100K I figured it was way over due. Not thinking by any means a new timing belt would make it run better but I swear, the little 2.3 seems to have woke up a little with the new belt. By no means any big change but smoother and slightly better acceleration. The only thing I can come up with is that the old belt was stretched enough to where the timing was off just a tad. Am I crazy or could this have some truth to it?
