Hey all,
I came across a few old parts in my garage so I thought I'd have a virtual garage sale. I'm located in Nassau County, NY.
For sale is a pair (LH & RH) of euro-style/altezza chrome tail lights for Mustangs model years 1996, 1997 & 1998. These came on my old '98 V6 when I bought it so I don't have exact details. They are stamped Sonar SK3711-MST/SK3710-MST for the LH/RH pieces, respectively. I believe Sonar to be the brand followed by the part numbers. Researching these show that they could possibly be Spyder brand, Model# ALT-YD-FM96-SM, 111-FM96-C or 5003638
Great for style, replacements or as a cheap pair to try experimenting with a smoke lens. Maybe some jerk rear-ended or clipped you and you need to replace your tail lights before you get a ticket for a broken tail light. This will be a lot cheaper than that ticket and you'll need to buy new tail lights anyway. You'll also get rid of that unsightly red tape that never lasts. Also cheaper than factory/OEM tail lights. Maybe you wish you could move to Europe come November; install these and every time you see them you can pretend that you aren't in the U.S. for the next four years.
These came off a '98 Mustang I had, but I preferred, and replaced with, the factory tail lights. They have been sitting in my garage, forgotten about until recently. They are a direct replacement, you use the same bulbs already in your car. They are a bit worn. They may collect a bit of water after heavy rains, or condensed a bit; I don't remember, but if they did you could probably seal it up with some silicon sealant from any hardware store. Unfortunately I can't check and verify, so I'm saying this only as a precaution. Part of the plastic casing on top had cracked off, but it never seemed to cause any issues. I have repaired this - see pictures of the crack/repair and you can see that the piece is hanging freely from my finger where it was repaired.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions or want to make an offer.
Here are some links to give you more of an idea about these. I CAN'T say that these are the exact ones, but are similar.
