On my 2008 Roush 428R I have updated 20" Roush rims and tires from 18". On the inside of my rims they are starting to pit??? I was told by a Ford dealership that the 18" Roush rims were known to do this and that on the new Roush's that have the 20" rims this issue was corrected as far as pitting was concerned. Has anyone heard of this problem and does anyone know what I can do to stop it and fix it.
Just some more info, when I purchased this car back in October the car sat on a Dealerships lot up North in Mass. for around 8 months out in the elements????? I think this is when the rims started to pit even thow they were brand new from the previous owner putting them on just before trading in this beauty for a Land Rover ;-(
Please any info would be helpful, and by the way this beauty I can say will never see a day of rain or snow again so as far as the pitting is concerned........................... ;-)
Thanx,
Frank.
