Thanks for the reply. I figured out the 351W was from a 1979 LTD II, not a 1969; I read the code wrong. And yes, the carb is a 2150. I followed your advice on the rebuild kit which worked out well. Rebuilding the carb was something I really enjoyed. Thanks again.

The two carb pics- one is a known 2150, the other is mine. They look identical.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm packing under the hood of my '67 vert resto project. I already know it has a 1969 351W based on the serial #. The intake is D70E-9425 BD which I deciphered to be off a 1977 LTD II. The carb I'm assuming is a 2150 motorcraft based on photo comparisons (the tag...

    U-bolts for an 8.8 swap

1967 vert using a 95 explorer 8.8 rear. Ok, so I've been researching the hell out of this and I don't mean to post a redundant thread, but I've been checking other forums about this and I can't find a definitive answer. Which is surprising considering the popularity of the 8.8 axle swap...

1967 vert disc brake and 5 lug conversion

Update- I changed the pinion seal and the bearing seals- the bearings are in great shape. Also sanded, painted and primed the housing. I ordered 3.25 anti-wrap leaf spring perches. The old perches are being cut off. I still need u-bolts. I'm a little confused about this- when I look up the...

    Hello from Putnam County

There's the work the previous owner had done. I get what you're saying about the resale value, but I have no intentions of selling it. If I need the money, the boat goes first . There are plenty of threads that deal with the Explorer rear swap, but none that I've seen mention the...

    Hello from Putnam County

15 Mustangs??? You've got an addiction (but a good one!). You're correct, a 351W dropped in with all the I6 parts left in. Fortunately I got the car at less then half of what he was asking from you, plus the welding was already done (although as mentioned not very well). My bodyguy did...

    Hello from Putnam County

You just blew my mind! Do you know anything about the car? What made you take a pic of it? A previous owner did some unconventional welding underneath. There are some spots where he welded metal over the old rusted parts, so water was trapped in between and rusting the new work. There are...

1967 vert disc brake and 5 lug conversion

Update on my project- I've ordered suspension parts. Mustang Plus Grab a Trak 4-leaf springs, stock. Mustang Plus one inch drop coils. Koni adjustable shocks all around. Performance spring perches from Stangaholics. I just picked up a 95 Explorer 8.8 rear, D4 code, 3.73 gears. Limited Slip...
