    What is this ?

I bought a top loader out of a 66 from an owner swapping it for a 5 speed. With it I got the HURST shifter, bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, clutch linkage, yoke and some other misc items including the thing I attached. Anyone know what it is? Is it even from a Mustang?

    what are these ?

I've just about identified every piece of hardware I received when I bought my 65 Mustang in pieces. After dumping all the coffee cans I'm down to just a handful of items. Can anyone tell me what these are? I found a photo of them though a Google search but there was no explanation of what they...

    sandblasting & powder coating

One of my ex-coworkers has his own machine shop at home. He had done some work for me in the past so I asked if he could sandblast some of my parts. He did a great job. I didn't need them powder coated so I used black Rustoleum. He did some powder coating a couple years ago on the mounts for my...

testing my one speed wiper motor

I was having a hard time finding a simplified way to test my one speed wiper motor without having to connect the switch. I don't have any wiring in my 65 yet. I finally found a schematic which I have modified and attached. I used a battery charger. I connected the ground of the charger to the...

2 and 3 speed heater schematics

I've been researching heaters. I have two different ones to choose from, a 2 speed and a 3 speed and was looking for schematics. I found lots of word descriptions which were mostly correct but poorly phrased so they were confusing. I finally found the two diagrams I've attached. They should help...

    bottom window stop

As usual, nothing is easy. I finally started working on the door glass and what do I find? There is no bracket inside the doors to mount the bottom window stop. See the attached photo I found on the WEB. I looked all over and don't see this sold as a separate item. My doors must be after-market...

question about 65 door latch & 2 suggestions

Question: I just cleaned up the grime from the door latches. They were really gummed up. Now they look like new. If I grease them won't they attract enough dirt to get gummed up again? Or should I just give them some WD40? I'm putting on new exterior handles. Should they get lubed also...

I going to install the front bumper, valence and stone guard soon. I need to know the order to install them and which pieces get the spring nuts so I'll know which direction the bolts go. 65 nos parts prices

Supplied with the 65 I bought in pieces were several NOS FORD parts in the boxes. I also have the receipts for the parts from when they were bought in 1994. They are for a non-GT and I got a good deal on a used fog light assembly so I'd like to sell these parts. They look perfect. Could anyone...

    65 coil spring covers

Among the parts I received with the 65 I'm restoring are two coil spring covers. Back in 1971, when I was installing grease fittings in my 66 GT, I'm positive there weren't any spring covers. They must have been removed by the previous owner or a mechanic sometime. Mine need cleaning up and...

    building a 65

Hi, I had a 66 GT 4-spd A code coupe back in 1971. I paid $800, "as is", for it at a Ford dealer. It needed brakes, clutch and engine rebuild. Back then I did it all for a few hundred bucks. Wish I could have kept it over the years. Now close to retirement I bought a 65 from a Ford mechanic who...
