  • Has anyone experienced difficulty with their sensors readying themselves to pass inspection? I still have 3 sensors "not ready" and I have over 200 miles since I unhooked the battery last.
Bummed I missed the Glen this year. The weather was perfect for a good cruise and track day. On the other had, I did put about 60 miles on the Mustang yesterday around town and it felt amazing!
New springs, struts/shocks, and panhard were installed last night. Wheels went on as well. I just need to get an anlignment and inspection and I'll be ready for summer!
Has anyone ordered aftermarket HID kits and had success with them? I will be upgrading the stock bulbs that came with the Raxiom headlights ASAP. Just wanna see what brand/website people are using and like the product.

I have the Smoked Raxiom headlights, was going to change to a brighter bulb, AM told me the higher heat my melt the inside, never changed them. I never drive the car after dark anyways, but I did go with brighter bulbs in my wifes Kia and tested the heat of the brighter bulbs to the stock bulbs, didn't seem to be any difference. Hope this helps. How are you doing on all the mods on your list ?

Thanks, from everything I have been reading online, most people do put HIDs in the Raxiom lights. I hardly drive a night also, but I am a big fan of being able to see when I need to. As far as the mods, I have everything sitting at home, just need to get time to install them. My life becomes much easier in about two weeks when tax season ends.

The way my Raxiom headlights work is when you go to high beams a plastic shield flops up and back down for low beam, blocking some of the light. No high and low in the bulbs like the stock headlight. Kind of strange how that works in the Raxioms, maybe the shield will melt, if the brighter bulb is hotter? Mine also have the 65w halogens.
Ordered the final parts for my 2017 season install list. Hoping to get some lift time this weekend!
I checked out those 20inch SB Niche Misano m117s, they look good. The 10.5 with the 315 tires may be to wide going into the shocks and sway bars. My 10inch with 295 tires are close. The 315 is only about 3/8 inch wider than the 305. The 10inch with the 305 tires should be OK, about 15lbs heavier than your stock wheel+tire set per side, you may see a little rwhp loss. Looking forward to seeing them on the car !
Someone needs to explain this one to me... http://13wham.com/news/state/under-new-bill-some-tinted-vehicles-would-fail-nys-auto-inspections In what possible way would this benefit anyone? You now have inspection stations doing more work for the same money, theoretically no more window tint tickets, and a lot of pissed of car guys/girls. I cannot wrap my head around why they would be doing this... Is our government this bored that they want to stir up problems where they aren't? And the argument about officer safety from approaching a car with tinted windows seems to be invalid as I cannot remember the last time I have ever heard anything about it in the news. -end rant

It's the same, they're just saying it backwards

right, so any car with more than 70% tint (blocking more than 30%) on the front windows will no longer pass NYS inspection if this gets passed. Which is a ton of vehicles out there. I also wonder what this would do to people who own tint shops in the state. I'm guessing they a good number will go out of business

Heading out to Log Cabin for the first time this year. Should be a good turnout with the weather this nice!

I went once last year early in the season. There is definitely more rice than at the China Buffet, but there was a lot of classics, muscle, and some exotics too. It's definitely a good time for a Wednesday evening. I will let you know how things look this year.

Log Cabin was not too bad this year. Still a lot of ricers, but a good mix of american muscle. There was quite a few mustangs as well, including a twin turbo fox, procharged S197, terminators, GT500s, and even a GT350. Lots of corvettes, camaros, classic muscle, and trucks too. I will most likely be stopping by again this summer soon.
Its not a mustang... but last night my best friend finally got his 1968 Camaro RS Z28 back from a complete restoration. Has all the original parts and matching number VIN, Engine, and Trans. 302 motor dyno'd at 370hp. Just something about cruising around in a classic muscle car that no new car can do
Windows are finally getting tinted today. I've been wanting them ever since I bought the car, and today is finally the day.

I am going to lower it in the next spring once I buy new rims and tires. I can't stand the look of stock rims on a lowered car. They are tucked in too far and look awkard.

yes. I have the factory 19" rims. I will be buying a staggered set of 20x8.5 and 20x10 in the spring

It's not the height of the tire, I don't like the offset of the rims. They are tucked too far in to the fenders. I like my rims to be flush with the outsides of the car. I plan on bumping the sidewall of the tire a little to get rid of fender gap as well.
Chris thanks for the nomination for MOTM. It was nice meeting you guys at the Glen and putting a face with the name.

Awesome day at the Glen yesterday. Had a great time catching up with some, and meeting the rest. There were some pretty sweet rides. Everything from the new GT350, Boss 302 Leguna Seca, Hennessey, Roush, Saleen, Shelbys, and more. Can't wait for more events this year. Cruises are definitely on the top of my list this year.
Well to comment on whats going on with @Bill1024 pictures in the MOTM thread, when I try to click on his pictures, I get this message "Invalid Album specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" Not sure if this helps to solve the problem that we are having. I have gotten this message on a few other members pictures recently too.
