Is this Gas smell constant or is it when your driving. Can you smell it when the car is parked and if so where is the smell the strongest?

I have seen cars where the vents in the trunk have been removed and it allows for fumes travel into the cabin area. Depending on the smell it could be a whole bunch of things that aren't as obvious as one would think.

I believe I was very respectful when I stated my opinion. It would bother me if I was frustrated trying to diagnose a problem I with having with my vehicle and seek the assiatance from my brothers and sisters here and the first thing someone decides to post is, they will buy a part. I am sure if you were in the same situation as Hagraciani you wouldn't like it either. The one thing I love about being a mustang owner is the help everyone is willing to give.

Describe smell? Is it while it running, idling, cruising? No leaks in any lines? Did you try the fuel pressure regulator? Mine went on my Ford Ranger and thought head gasket went, stuff bellowing out exhaust and smoke. Checked radiator and all green/full no oil. Pulled dipstick and reading was all they way up. Gas was dumping straight through engine at full pump pressure. Don't know how it didn't go boom!

no, any 96+ auto is a 40R70W. any 99-04 trans will work, but some electrical connections might be different. not sure what was changed there after 01.

Should I swap out both the rims and the springs...

when you lower the stang you gonna bottom out alot .i dont think changing rim size is gonna make a difference .I used to have Eilbachs and had to changed it back to stock cause the ride was bad and always bottomed out.
