  • Started my suspension rebuild project, got the rear shocks and pan-hard bar in and re-adjusted rear tracking. Having problems with a stubborn bolt in the passenger rear anti-sway bar support. Soaked it with PB Blaster until I can deal with it tomorrow. Found I had two different shocks on the rear.

Thanks, driver side was a KYB, looked to have been in there a while, passenger side was a Ford N series. Compression and return rates were not comparable.

Thanks Jeff but a friend lent me a grinder, old bolt is out now. Just have to order a new link and bolt. My Cordless impact didn't have the balls to break there nuts, had to come up with a plan B
All my suspension parts arrived today. Had to immediately call the supplier because one of the Koni Shocks was for a 99-04 Cobra not the 05 - 14 Mustang. Now the phone calls and emails begin so I can get the correct one for install.
I heard there are 109 mustangs at Watkins Glen today. Awesome!
Ordered Suspension Upgrade parts for the 'stinger, I went with the Koni Adjustable shock/strut package, FRP GT500 strut mounts, Steeda Sport lowering springs, BMR adjustable PanHard Bar, and BMR rear lower control arm anti wheel hop kit. Found a friend of a friend to help do the install.

The Steeda springs only drop 1 to 1.25 inch, but I was going to shorten the stops anyway. Thanks form the video link. I've looked at a lot of them lately trying to decide if I was going to do the work myself, or have a pro do it. Found a guy that used to build drag cars willing to help for $100.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe awesome weather warning for Sunday April 9. Sunshine and warmth will prevail through most of the day. If you are not going to the track, take that pony out and stretch those legs
Current forecast for WGI Season opener, Mostly sunny, high of 59, winds NW at 5 - 10. It just keeps getting better and better.
KONI Sport adjustable Shocks and Struts, with STTEDA lowering springs and an adjustable panhard bar, is it a good investment? how much would a pro charge to install?

After a lot of research, it looks like I'm going with Bilstien skocks and struts, GT500 mounts, Steeda sport springs, Maximum Motorsports Panhard bar, FRPP sway bar bushings and J&M Rear Control Arm kit. Still waiting on call backs on labor costs

I pretty much swapped out my entire suspension for Steeda, aside from GT500 front control arms and strut mounts and FRPP strut brace. I still have the factory sway bars, but I have the front/rears from Steeda so when weather clears up going to try getting them on myself, i mean if David Paterson could do it I'm sure I can. Trust me your setup will "wake" your Stang up lol.

I crawled under mine today, all my sway bar bushings are in real good shape, so I don't need to change any of that out now. I really want adjustable shocks and struts but koni's are out of stock everywhere, and RTR's are out of my budget range. I am going to change out my stock LCA's for a pair of BMR's
Added Bluetooth to my 06 Shaker 500 Stereo with an adapter I found on amazon. Installation was super easy, and everything seems to be working good so far. Sound quality is exceptional.
