Got back from the two day road trip from west palm. 12 hour trip (8am-8pm) ful of napping, movies, food, bathroom breaks, more sleeping, and making a pit stop at a fireworks warehouse (its going to be a good July 4th this year >:) ) slept in Virginia last night, woke up at 4 am and made it to New York at around 11:30. All in all a great trip.
Good news everyone: The South Shore 'Stangs group is holding our fundrasing event in the parking lot near 454 grill in Commack on december 16th, running from 8am to 3pm. I recently edited the event under "upcoming events", all of the information is there.
Im trying to set up an event to collect moeny and supplies for Sandy victims. Anyones welcome to come and join. We will meet at around 11am. Please email me at kormanandrew@yahoo.com if you have questions about the event, I would really like to see this become a success.
If anyone has a large truck to carry supplies that would also be appreciated. Thanks.
I found someone that would be willing to hold on to supplies and money if we collect it from this meet were trying to set up. The two things we need are as follows: Support from a lot of people, along with the ability to commit to show up to the meet, and a meet up spot with a time and date.
I think were going to aim for something in the first week of december. I realize its a bad time to drive but hopefully weather permitting we should be able to conduct this. If you have any questions please email me at kormanandrew@yahoo.com
Nearly all of last week we have witnessed destruction of our own Island. Many people are still shocked and still searching for help or a cause to help themselves get out of the giant hole theyre in. From what Ive heard and witnessed recently, most of these people that are searching for help are now homeless or without food, water and transportation to acquire these necessities. I think it is terrible that we have to witness our neighbors being constantly forced to try their hardest for items that should be easily found. I think that for the next few weeks, we should seriously consider trying to set up a cruise or meet to fund some money or collect items for these victims. I am absolutely sure that they would appreciate the concern for their well being along with the help.
