So there's two completely opposite schools of thought on breaking in a new motor. 1 that dictates you baby it for the first 800-1500 miles. The second is to run it hard!
The first theory from what I read is based on older engine models.
Supposedly on new model cars use a finer honing in the cylinders than they once did. Supposedly the window for achieving an optimum ring seal is much smaller when compared to older rough honed engines.
Just curious...by popular opinion? Gun it or baby it?
