Default How to tint your lights

First go to any shop that sales R/C Cars they will have the paint you need.
I bought the Testors R/C car window tint PART # RC294

I wet sanded the tail lights with 800 grit sandpaper. i had tinted the tails before but they were to dark

I then re sprayed the tails with one coat to see if it was dark enough for my liking

You can spray more times but I wouldn't go anymore than two coats. the first time I did four and it was dark. You could barely see the brake lights in the daytime.

This one is two coats direct sun light.

Yes there is but they don't sell it in CA. It's against the law out here to have tinted tail lights. A can of the VHT Nightshades is $14 VS. a can of R/C car spray tint $ 5,and it does the same thing.

Has anybody tried doing this with their headlights yet? I'm planning on replacing my headlights with tinted ones in the near future but may try this to save a few dollars if it looks good.
